I hold psychotherapy as a cooperative, relational process between client and therapist. The therapeutic process involves a profound attunement of the therapist with the client. The purpose of therapy is to identify, to focus, and to activate the client's resources for healing, change, growth, and transformation. The goal of therapy is to create acceptance, awareness, learning, closure, and growth from life's experiences: its challenges, its traumas, its opportunities, and its teachings.
As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support with insight and cutting-edge therapeutic approaches to help clients address current challenges and long-standing issues. With sensitivity, empathy, skill, and compassion, I help individuals to resolve a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues, with special emphasis on the treatment of traumatic and/or negative emotional conditioning.
Working with an integration of complimentary methods, including Brainspotting, hypnotherapy, EMDR, behavioral strategies, as well as insight and transpersonal therapies, I draw from over forty years of clinical experience to incorporate what is most helpful, respectful, and effective for each client.
